Sugarledge Stone Quarry was founded in 1983 by Rick
and Sharyn Lafontaine. It is currently owned and operated by Jonathan and Carrie Cranston. The land parcel has been in Carrie's family for five generations. Although Sugarledge has only been in business for a little
less than 30 years, Carrie's family sold stone from the property as early as the 1930's. It is a small family business, employing 8 people and operating seasonally, April though November.
Why Natural Stone? Our stone is natural. Unlike man-made or "cultured" stone, it maintains its integrity and beauty over time. With growing concern over the environmental impact of
products purchased, you can feel confident that natural stone is a green choice. With a short, simple manufacturing process including hand labor, our carbon footprint is minimal. With the recent addition of a
crusher, we have been able to convert all waste into usable product. Therefore, we have 100% salvage of ledge removed. Natural stone lasts longer and often costs less
than cultured stone. Why settle for faux stone made from a mold when you can have the real thing? Our quality control and friendly service assure you a rewarding purchase that will be enjoyed for generations. |
